Lost in Space is an American science fiction television series, created and produced by Irwin Allen, which originally aired between 1965 and 1968 on CBS. The series was inspired by the 1812 novel The Swiss Family Robinson. The series follows the adventures of the Robinsons, a pioneering family of space colonists who struggle to survive in the depths of space. The show ran for 83 episodes over three seasons. The first season comprised 29 episodes that ran 1 hour apiece, filmed in black and white. In seasons 2 and 3, the episodes were 54 minutes long and shot in colour.

So you might think calling your comic Lost in Space would be asking for expensive trouble from the legal department at CBS or the estate of Irwin Allen, but as they don't seem bothered we're proud to present this compilation of classic comic cuts spanning two centuries from the pen and mind of former cinema projectionist Paul Hatcher.

Comprehensively annotated with background material, historical notes, and anecdotes about the Wellingborough dating scene in 1987, this smorgasbord of hardcore laughs features aliens, octopuses, the Mekon (technically already covered under 'aliens'), TV licence inspectors, cosmic hitchhikers, Lemmy, and Barry the Alien. And this is just part one of three! You should get in on the ground floor here, as holding off and reading all three issues in one sitting is a perfect use case for the expression "could go either way".

Thrill to the violent adventures of Superpaul, eavesdrop on pub conversations, take a harrowing journey straight through the author, and witness a centre page spread for the ages in this retrospective 40-page grab-bag of youthful exploration and aliens.
